Optimist Meeting Nov 6th, Mcall/Africa Connection

Greetings Friends and Optimist,

This coming Tuesday, Gina Boniminio and Sara Wolf will present thier plans to connect McCall students with students in Africa. Gina is our newest Optimist Club member and is planning a 7 week adventure in Africa. Sara Wolf is a 3rd grade teacher at Barbara Morgan Elementary. Gina will be climbing Mount Kilimanjaro as a personal goal and Sara’s class and others will be tracking her progress as she makes the climb. After that Gina will volunteering in Olesere, Kena with an organization called African Impact. Her project will consist of tracking and observing lion and elephant populations. She will also be teaching at the local Guide School and Primary School. Through writings, drawings and emails Sara and Gina will exchange ecosystem and wildlife information in hopes to broaden the perspective of the children from both cultures.

Come listen to this new, fresh, optimistic idea Tuesday, Nov 6th at our 0700 Breakfast Meeting at the Pancake House. Invite a friend. We always welcome new guests!
